TULSA, Okla- Melton Truck Lines, Inc. is excited to announce the opening of its fifth terminal in Birmingham, AL. The new facility spans over 4,600 square feet and signifies the completion of Phase I of Melton’s Birmingham facility. “Opening of the Birmingham terminal marks the completion of Phase I of Melton's three-phase construction plan for the Birmingham location,” states Melton President Bob Peterson. “Over the next four years, Melton will construct a 10,000 square foot full-service maintenance facility and a 5,000 square foot driver recruitment and training building. We are committed to developing quality flatbed service in the southeast.”
In summary, we are pleased with our performance in the September 2005 quarter, and, based on demand levels, fuel surcharge recovery and rate improvement we've experienced so far in October, we believe we will be able to continue to execute on our strategic plan and produce positive results going forward."
